Twitter or Blogging

Rather than being faced with the choice of whether to use a blog or social networking to promote your website, service or product there is another solution. You can have both your blog and twitter run simultaneously as twitter is mainly a micro blogging site. Twitter supports tweets of user posts on any topic with a maximum of 140 characters and thus can never replace original blogs. A smart internet marketing strategy is to announce to your followers that your original blog had been updated by tweet and derive SEO benefit from combining the use of both platforms.

Now with a basic understanding of what the site is all about, let’s see what is achievable with twitter. After signing up at twitter, update your profile page with your information and website link. You can start posting posts and make it act like a mini advertising blog. You can post at any minute of the day and your post gets updated instantly. Follow fellow bloggers of your niche, can meet new people, post and Retweet other interesting news that you want to share with you followers. Hence the term social networking where members can use the work of others users to help their own profile and marketing agenda.

A good suggestion is to maintain good relationships with fellow twitter users and use it to improve your communication skills. Not even an internet connection is not necessarily needed because twitter has a feature that enables you receive tweets to your mobile and you can also update your posts through your mobile and even IM.

The most common mistakes people make while using twittering are, using auto DM (direct message) feature in the wrong way, spamming the inbox of followers, mass following, posting tweets only to promote their business, not using real profile pictures or vague profile information. Avoid these errors in order to achieve maximum potential from social networking media like twitter.

Irrespective of the increasing widespread usage of twitter, there are also some limitations to twitter. The 140 characters limited text support in each individual post id is obviously the major one. This does not allow posting of very detailed or descriptive posts and also, you are further restricted to using simple code structure to reply to your tweets.

The key to micro blogging is people learning creativity and to be able to appeal to readers from what is only a summarization of the information they wish to convey. For those that master this skill then twitter is going to be amazingly effective for internet marketing purposes. Write short and catchy posts and you can find people retweeting your posts if it’s interesting. Twitter can also be used with most of the IM clients such as yahoo and Google talk. All you need to do is with the help of a few tools, add the id in your friend list and whenever you send an IM, it gets updated as the post to your twitter account.

After time spent in the building followers stage this will now help provide instant promotion to a highly niche targeted list. Twitter can be used for any purpose but always remember to respond to tweets, update your posts, follow people and make good conversation with followers.

Social Spark - An Innovative Network for Bloggers to Make Money Online

Social Spark is a new social marketing network that impresses me. The site looks interesting and provides quality advertising services.

Social Spark offers a revolutionized advertising market for both the bloggers and the advertisers. It connect bloggers and advertisers through an online advertising marketplace where bloggers can make money online by displaying text, video or images advertisement and writing sponsor posts.

The online marketplace is just part of the Social Spark, another core part is the Social Spark networking platform that allows advertisers and bloggers to network with each other. It works much like other social media sites such as Myspace and Facebooks. Bloggers can create their own profile with content and information to promote themselves and make friends with potential advertisers that could lead to more advertising revenue generated.

In addition to that, Social Spark also emphasizes on quality. Bloggers who post sponsored reviews can disclosure to their readers that they are paid for writing the content. And in the case of sponsored links displaying on blogs, all of them carry the "no-follow" attribute which will prevent bloggers get penalized by the search engines and losing search engines traffic.

If you run a blog to make money online, I would suggest you check out Social Spark. You may find a lot of sponsored post and advertising opportunities that can increase you blog income.

Building a Niche Site to Sell Your Information Product

When you are marketing your information product through a website, you don't have to build a thirty page website loaded with colorful ads, lots of pictures, and other tricks that other Internet businesses use to gain awareness of their website. Since your info product may be popular only for a short period of time, spending hours and hours searching for the right fonts, writing unique articles, and optimizing every individual page isn't worth it.

Always remember that the targeted prospects in your niche market are hungry for information that they can't find or is hard to find anywhere else. This means they will not require very much encouragement and pushing to place an order.

If there are only a few of the competitors in your niche market, chances are you will generate sales even though you don't have beautiful images and expert formatting and customization on your sale website. A simple and clean sale website that tells the features and benefits of your product may produce good result for you.

You don't need to be an expert in the computer field to build a professional looking website that is helpful for marketing your products. There are good website builders you can use to create a professional-look website without technical knowledge. Xsitepro is one these easy-to-use website builders you can try.

Most e-commerce websites have a sales letter page highlighting and explaining the features and benefits of the product. Sale letter will tell your potential customers what you are offering, how your product can solve a problem or help in certain areas and why your potential customers should buy from you instead of your competition. So your sale letter play a very important role in persuading your potential prospects to make a purchase. And so you are advised to hire a copywriter to create a professional sale letter for you. The copywriter has good experience in producing sale letter, he/she will have not problem writing a sale page that meets your business need.

However, you may choose to write your sale page yourself, but make sure you study enough on how to write an effective sale letter before you start creating one.

To make your sales letter even more persuasive, you can add in testimonies from satisfied customers, extra gift, bonus products and etc.

You do need to place some images of your products to let the customer see and feel how your product looks like. Adding product images will not increase your sale but this is a must as many people want to see or have an idea on how the product look like before making purchase.

Blogspot Bloggers can now Make Money Selling Text Links

Yaro Starak, owner of blogtrafficschool.com has just told me a good news. Blogger.com bloggers can now sell text link through Text-Link-Ads (TLA). Before a blogspot's blogger can use the Text-Link-Ads service, he or she must login to the new version of blogger.com and upgrade the blog's template. Here's how to upgrade the blog's template

After login to blogger.com new version - 'Click Template' > click 'Customise Design' > and click 'upgrade Your Template'.

Note:
You can always revert back to your old template if you don't like the upgraded template but then you will not able to sell text links.

This can be a great source of income as there has been a number of bloggers making hundreds of dollar monthly sell text link via TLA system. As I mentioned in my previous post, The selling price per text link will depend on your Blog's Google PR, traffic and where you place the text link. The higher the PR and traffic the more money you can make.
